The Ogodo family of Sapele Local Government Area in Delta State has issued a statement dismissing an online publication alleging the sale of a parcel of land occupied by a veterinary hospital in the area.
The family’s spokesperson, Chief Cyril Ogodo, addressed newsmen in the presence of elders and family members, urging the public to disregard the publication as false and misleading.
According to Chief Ogodo, the family’s attention was drawn to a publication by a blogger claiming that the Ogodo children attempted to sell the veterinary clinic, and that the Governor of Delta State had ordered their arrest. However, Chief Ogodo stated that the Ogodo family is not in contention with any government agency and has never made any attempt to sell the veterinary clinic.
Chief Ogodo emphasized that the Ogodo family is not involved in any litigation concerning the veterinary clinic, and that those involved in the dispute know themselves and are already in court.
He noted that a careful reading of the blogger’s report reveals a clear political undertone, suggesting that the publication is nothing more than a fabrication aimed at tarnishing the Ogodo family’s reputation.
The Ogodo family has called on the public to disregard the publication, stating that it is untrue and malicious. The family has also urged the Governor of Delta State and other relevant authorities to investigate the matter and bring those responsible for the false publication to justice.
