
An Estate developer and the CEO of NEOC Properties Limited, Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, Comr. Egbuna Odogwu has commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration for the construction of roads and erosion control in the community.
Odogwu, who made the commendation in his Obodogba country home, Okpanam while fielding questions from journalists, said that the initiative would continue to drive development in the area.
He said that the Amachai road to Akwukwu-Igbo, the headquarters of Oshimili North would attract socio-economic impact not only to the community but the local government and the state in general, stressing that residents in Asaba, Okpanam and Ibusa would access Akwukwu-Igbo much faster than going through Otulu junction.
Comr. Odogwu stated that the community was in dire need of the road from Amachai down to Akwukwu-Igbo, adding that it was a thing of joy to note that Delta State Government was showing genuine intentions for the construction of the road.
He also appreciated the governor for the ongoing road construction from Obodogba to Okpanam roundabout by St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Okpanam.
He explained that many property owners in Amachai and other parts of the community, including Ogbeozoma Quarters would be happy to develop their landed properties now that government has commenced work on Amachai road, but appealed to the state government to link Akwukwu-Igbo through Amachai road.
Comrade Odogwu used the opportunity to urge youths in the community to engage in meaningful ventures in order to have a means of livelihood for themselves to add value to their lives and the society at large just as he implored leaders in the community to always stand by the truth.
While saying that Comr. Chukwuma Abumujor led executives of Obodogba youths had been providing effective leadership, Comr. Odogwu called for more support for the youth chairman to enable him achieve greater milestones in the leadership of the youths.
He stated that the present Obodogba youth executives under the leadership of Comr. Abumujor had been assisting some of their people by paying their school fees and also giving them other assistance.
