
The Chief Inspector of Education for Isoko South Local Government Area, Delta State, Mr. Adeda Ekuevugbe has commended the Principal of Udueni Secondary School, Olomoro and the staff members of the school for their efforts towards the increase in the student’s enrollment figures.
Ekuevugbe made the commendation when he visited the school, which had been carrying out teaching and learning activities since September 12, 2022 when it was established, but now relocated to its permanent site.
He expressed satisfaction with the conduct and commitment of the staff, adding that there was reward for hard work.
Ekuevugbe stressed the need for teachers to be committed to their responsibilities of ensuring that the children are properly taught and guided in school through effective teaching.
The CIE also told the students to always embrace the reading culture, reminding them that their future was dependent on their seriousness in their studies.
Earlier, the Principal of Udueni Secondary School, Mrs. Julie Obayendo informed the Chief Inspector of Education that the population of the school had increased from 41 to 220 students.
Mrs. Obayendo, who recalled that she assumed duty as the principal of the school on May 12, 2023, revealed that in September this year, the school would have the Senior Secondary (SS 1) class.
While appreciating the Member representing Isoko Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko for the five blocks of classrooms donated as his constituency project for the takeoff of the school, Mrs. Obayendo appealed to the state government to provide a science laboratory and examination hall in the facility.
She pledged her determination to ensure that teachers under her watch continued to discharge their duties diligently for the overall benefits of the students.
On hand with the Principal to receive the CIE were the Vice Principal (Academics), Mrs. Kate Edheka, who doubles as English Studies teacher, the History Studies teacher, Mrs. Ideh Benin (Vice Principal/Academics), Mrs. Obroku U.J -Mathematics teacher, Mr. Lucky Adhazor (National Value teacher), Mrs. Peace Panama (Mathematics teacher) , Mr. Raphael Okpe (Basic Technology teacher) , Miss Evi Urugbezi (Pre- Vocational teacher), Mr. Christopher Oghri (Basic Science teacher), Mr. Waris Lawal(Business Studies teacher) as well as Mrs. Grace Adediaro, Christian Religious Studies teacher.
