
The Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has charged the newly appointed Chairman of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta central senatorial district, Chief Anthony Akpomiemie, with the need to reawaken and strengthen all structures of the party in the Delta central senatorial district ahead of the 2027 election.
The charge was made by the Governor, who was represented by his Chief of staff, Hon Eric Ejiro at the thanksgiving ceremony of Chief Akpomiemie which was held at the St Peter’s Anglican church in Jesse town of Ethiope West Local Government Area of the state.
While commending Akpomiemie for his resilience and commitment towards the growth of the party despite oppositions from other parties, the Governor urged him to keep on with the good work.
Governor Oborevwori reiterated his commitment through his MORE Agenda towards the growth, welfare and development of the State for the benefit of all.
Akpomiemie, while expressing his commitment to putting more effort towards the growth of the party, promised to work hard to deliver the party in any election.
He thanked God for his faithfulness towards him, appreciating the state Governor, PDP leaders, party faithful and family members for standing by him and for their support in building a stronger and more reliable party.
Some party faithful and leaders who were also at the event expressed their confidence in the celebrant and were very optimistic about the party’s victory come 2027.
