
The Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government, Hon. Augustine Ogedegbe, Tuesday, attended the maiden matriculation ceremony of St. Francis Catholic College of Nursing in Okpara-Inland t29th April 2025.
Speaking at the event, Ogedegbe praised the efforts of the Provost, Mrs. Elizabeth Oyibocha and other promoters of the college for making the institution a reality.
He described the establishment of the college as a major achievement for the community, one that would bring great hope to healthcare development in Ethiope East.
To the new students, Ogedegbe offered words of encouragement, urging them to stay focused and committed to their studies. “Stay dedicated to your education and make your family proud,” he said.
He also called on the people of Okpara-Inland to continue supporting the institution. “This is a place of learning, and for it to grow and thrive, we need peace, cooperation, and unity,” he added.
As part of the occasion, the Ethiope East Local Government Council made a donation of One Million Naira to the institution and pledged continued support to ensure its success.
The event was well attended by political leaders, community figures, religious representatives, parents, and other well-wishers, all gathered to witness the beginning of a new chapter for Okpara-Inland.
