Some concerned residents of Kouoke Community in Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State have made a stringent appealed to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for the development of the community
The Chairman of the community, Mr. Brown Ofomala made the appeal in a media chat with our correspondent in the community over the weekend.
He complained that the ancient Okpe Community in Sapele Local Government Area lacks basic infrastructural amenities such as drinkable water, lights, good roads, among others.
Ofomala noted that the community road leads to many communities in the area, including Warri and Sapele.
He however lamented that in spite of this; the road is in an extremely deplorable state.
Another respondent, Mrs. Mrs. Beauty Omamurumu, a resident of the community spoke in the same vein as she also complained that the said access road in the community is a no-go area during the rainy season.
Both respondents appealed to Governor Oborevwori to come to the rescue of the community by providing basic infrastructural amenities and rehabilitation of the road.
