The Chairman of Warri North Local Government of Delta State, Hon. Festus Ashima has tasked the new leadership of Koko Community Management Authority (KCMA) on advancing unity and development in the community.
Ashima made this known during the inauguration of the newly constituted KCMA executives led by Dr. Chris Eburajolor.
While affirming the meditative role the Olu of Warri, His Royal Majesty Atuwase III CFR, played in the constitution and inauguration of the new KCMA executives, Hon. Ashima urged them to put the community above personal interest to fast-track all-round development in the area.
He urged the new KCMA chairman, Dr. Eburajolor to work assiduously to ensure lasting peace, robust development and unity in the community, and warned against flagrant disregard of the stance of the Olu of Warri on the constitution and inauguration of the new leadership of KCMA.
Speaking on behalf of His Royal Majesty Atuwase III, the Ologbotsere of Warri Kingdom, Chief Oma Eyewuoma, in his inauguration remark, admonished the new executives to ensure the full development of Koko.
“Our royal father, the Ogiame, has asked me to tell you to make sure that this community experiences extensive development during your tenure.
“Turn things around positively for Koko. As an ancient town, it is in dire need of peace, growth and massive development in which all sons and daughters would have a great sense of pride and belonging,” he emphasized.
During the selection of representatives that would represent the various family stocks in the new leadership of the KCMA, Chief Eyewuoma, ensured that voice vote was carried to avoid any indication of foul play.
Later, the names of the selected family stock representatives were called out to the hearing of all present and their endorsements were unanimously adopted, with prayers offered for a peaceful and successful tenure for Dr. Eburajolor.
Amongst the newly constituted KCMA executives is a former Leader of the Legislative Arm of Warri North council, Rt. Hon. Jolomi Esiategiwa.
