A frontline socio-political organization, known as Eziafa Parliament in Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, has urged members to be proactive and show more commitment towards the realization of the ideals and objectives of the group.
The Speaker of Eziafa Parliament, Comr. John Ogbogu made the call in Okpanam while addressing members during a get together party sponsored by a member, Lawrence Okolie , popularly known as Oka.
Ogbogu, who said that the objective of the group was to foster unity and love among members and more importantly contribute meaningfully to the development of the society, noted that members comprised indigenes and non-Indigenes residing in Okpanam.
While informing members that meetings would be held on Tuesdays, Ogbogu stated that a constitution had been drafted to guide and regulate the conduct and activities of members during meetings.
He explained that members of Eziafa Parliament are responsible, dependable and reliable partners with common vision for the advancement of the collective interests of the group and Okpanam community.
Ogbogu stressed the need for members, particularly the indigenous people of Okpanam among them , who are eligible to vote in the forthcoming Okpanam youth election not to be disjointed in their choice of candidates among the prospective contestants but to speak with one voice and adopt the candidates Eziafa Parliament would support.
In his remarks, the Vice President of Okpanam Youth Organization, Comr. Chukwudi Abumujor, who is a member of the group, emphasized the need for the community to love one another and embrace peace.
Abumujor implored Eziafa Parliament to be steadfast in driving their laudable initiative for the benefits of humanity.
The chairman of Obodogwugwu youths, Comr. Bro. Chigozie Ogonenwe, who is an active member of the group,was among notable youth leaders that were present at the get together party.
