It is hereby announced for the information of the public, especially Consultants of the Directorate of Transport, that the Delta State Directorate of Transport has only one Unified Taskforce on Road Taxes. In line with this mandate, the Directorate has approved Ogeys Multi–Global Ventures as the Consultant responsible for the enforcement of the Unified Taskforce on Road Taxes, as stipulated in the Board of Internal Revenue Service (BIRS) Code.
The scope of service and terms of reference for the Unified Consultant are as outlined in the Directorate’s White Paper issued by the Committee on the Implementation of a Unified Taskforce in Delta State among which is to:
i. Serve as the coordinating consultant, ensuring proper coordination, transparency, reduction of infractions, and sanitization of taskforce operations across the State;
ii. Have access to a mobile court for the prosecution of offenders in accordance with relevant laws;
iii. Prepare and submit monthly operational reports to the Transportation Data Management Department to enable the Directorate to effectively monitor and evaluate activities.
This exercise is aimed at improving the administration and enforcement of Road Taxes in the State. All Consultants working with the Directorate are therefore advised to cooperate fully with the Unified Consultant to ensure smooth implementation and enforcement.
