Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has expressed deep sorrow over the recent kidnapping of young schoolgirls in Kebbi State and the tragic attack on a church in Kwara State.
In a heartfelt message shared on his Instagram story in the late hours of Wednesday, Davido said his thoughts are with the kidnapped girls and their families, noting that no family deserves such pain.
“My heart goes out to the young girls kidnapped in Kebbi State and to their families. No family deserves this pain,” he said.
The musician urged Nigerians to stand united and continue working toward a country where every child can live safely and confidently.
“As Nigerians, we must stand together in unity and continue working towards a country where every child can grow up in safety and hope,” Davido said.
He described the attack on the church in Kwara as heartbreaking, offering prayers for the families who lost loved ones and for everyone affected by the tragedy, stressing that violent acts like these must never be accepted as normal.
“I am also deeply saddened by the tragic attack on the church in Kwara State. I pray for the families who lost loved ones and for evervone affected by this heartbreaking incident. These acts of violence must never become our norm,” he said.
The singer called for intensified efforts to secure the safe return of the Kebbi girls and appealed to anyone with credible information to come forward through safe and responsible channels to support ongoing rescue operations.
Davido ended his message with prayers for the kidnapped children and for comfort for the grieving families in Kwara. He also prayed for peace across Nigeria and called for accountability for individuals sponsoring violence and instability.
The incidents in Kebbi and Kwara have sparked nationwide concern, with many Nigerians urging stronger security measures to protect citizens.
