In a significant step towards enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness, Hon. Ejiro Terry Etacherure, the Commissioner Bureau for Special Duties, convened the first management meeting with the bureau’s management staff.
The well-attended meeting which was held in the commissioner’s office, set the tone for a proactive approach as the Bureau gears up for greater achievements in 2026.
During the meeting, Hon. Etacherure emphasized the importance of proactive measures in achieving the Bureau’s goals. “As we look ahead to 2026, it is imperative that we not only identify our objectives but also strategize on how to attain them efficiently and effectively,” he stated. The Commissioner pointed out that the success of the Bureau hinges on the collective efforts of its management team and the adoption of innovative strategies.
He encouraged management to think outside the box and develop innovative initiatives that aligned with the Bureau’s mission while addressing the pressing needs of the community, stating that as an institution saddled with the responsibility of emergency management, “The challenges we face are numerous, but by working together, we can turn those challenges into opportunities,” Hon. Etacherure remarked.
He urged them to embrace a mindset of continuous improvement and accountability, reiterating the goal of achieving greater results that would ultimately benefit the constituents they serve.
The management team was also tasked with setting measurable goals and timelines for their respective departments, ensuring that everyone aligned with the Bureau’s vision.
