The Senior Policy Adviser to the Governor of Delta State and Delta State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon, on Thursday led members of the organisation on a courtesy visit to the Delta State House of Assembly, where he briefed lawmakers on the objectives, activities and achievements of the national grassroots mobilisation initiative.
Addressing members of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. Solomon explained that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors was established to support and promote the policies and programmes of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while serving as a bridge between government and the people through sustained public engagement, advocacy and enlightenment.
He stated that the organisation is committed to educating Nigerians on the benefits of the Renewed Hope Agenda, encouraging active citizen participation in governance and mobilising support for policies aimed at economic growth, youth empowerment, infrastructure development and national unity.
As the Delta State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Solomon described Delta State as critical to the success of the initiative, stressing that collaboration with the Delta State House of Assembly would further strengthen public enlightenment efforts and ensure that government programmes and policies effectively reach communities across the state.
He commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his purposeful leadership and commitment to people-oriented development, noting that the administration’s policies and programmes have continued to improve the welfare and well-being of Deltans. He urged lawmakers to sustain their support for policies that promote peace, development and inclusive governance.
Solomon further informed the Assembly that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors had continued to expand its reach through stakeholder engagements, community outreach programmes, youth empowerment initiatives and advocacy campaigns designed to enhance public understanding of Federal Government policies and programmes.
Responding on behalf of the Delta State House of Assembly, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, welcomed the delegation and commended the Renewed Hope Ambassadors for complementing government efforts through civic engagement and public education.
The Speaker noted that the Assembly values initiatives that promote dialogue between government and the people, emphasizing that effective communication remains a vital pillar of democratic governance and sustainable development.
Rt. Hon. Guwor assured the delegation of the Assembly’s continued commitment to supporting programmes and initiatives that advance good governance, strengthen democratic institutions and improve the quality of life of Deltans. He encouraged members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to remain focused on constructive engagement and to ensure that their activities continue to promote peace, unity and national development.
The meeting concluded with both the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and the Delta State House of Assembly reaffirming their commitment to collaboration in promoting policies and programmes that will deepen democracy, strengthen public confidence in government and accelerate development across Delta State and Nigeria.
