The former Delta State Governor, James Ibori, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, Senator James Manager, David Edevbie among others bigwigs of the Peoples Democratic Party were absent at the inauguration of party’s campaign council.
Addressing the party faithfuls, the state Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, urged the team to concentrate their campaign more at the units and wards level. He said, “Yes, there are issues in PDP Delta state and we will settle it and PDP will come out stronger and united.

“Our campaign will go through 270 wards that’s where our votes will come from. My politics is based on issue and I don’t insult people in the course of my politicking. Those that said I have not done anything in Delta state are locked up in Abuja, he maybe from Delta but locked up himself in Abuja.”
He urged all the political appointees to go back to their various units and wards, saying that they need to work harder now that PDP has its Vice Presidential candidate in Delta state.
