
Ahead of the 2023 general election, security agencies including the military have promised to provide a level playing ground for citizens across the country.
The Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, made this known on Thursday, when he visited Awka the Anambra State Capital.
According to him, the election will be conducive for politicians to go about politicking and also for those who want to exercise their franchise without any hindrance.
While responding to the appeal made by the Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, Mr Echeng Echeng, for a visiting units , the IGP said every state needs its policemen to secure their environment.
He however, promised that more officers would be deployed to some states that are porous than the others for effective service delivery.
Usman Baba, charged the officers and men of the Anambra Police Command to be committed to their job and remain loyal to the Police leadership in the state.
Radio Nigeria correspondent, reports that the IGP had given the go ahead to members of the civilian vigilante group in the state to support crime fighting as they have been very supportive in ensuring the success of the Police.
