
Judicial Officers who compromise in election Tribunals will henceforth lose their job and will be prosecuted.
The President of Court of Appeal, Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem, revealed this in Abuja at a capacity building workshop for Election Petition Tribunals Registry Staff for 350 Tribunal Secretaries and other support staff that would participate in the 2023 election Petition Tribunals.
Justice Dongban-Mensem emphasised that Federal Judicial Service Commission (FJSC) had resolved that any judicial officer found wanting in the discharge of their duties in the election Tribunal would have his/ her job terminated.
“The Court will not hesitate to deal with anyone found wanting in this regard”, she emphasised.
Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Professor Yakub Mahmoud represented by National Commissioner Mrs May Agbamuche-Mbu, expressed the Commission’s commitment to conduct Free, Fair and credible elections.
