Youths have gathered at the headquarters of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in Abuja, demanding the resignation of the Governor of the apex bank, Godwin Emefiele.
They are protesting over the alleged refusal of Mr. Emefiele to appear before security operatives for questioning.

The protesters under the auspices of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), are demanding that the CBN Governor acknowledge the invitation of the Department of State Service (DSS), alleging that Mr Emefiele is a threat to national security.
NYCN President, Comrade Solomon Adodo, who led the protesters at the gate of the CBN, vowed that the protests will be sustained in Abuja and nationwide until the CBN Governor resigns.
Tight security was observed around the vicinity of the protest.
