
Head of ICT NYSC Lagos, Mrs Jane Ejiaka, has this morning delivered the ICT lecture to the 2023 Batch “B” Stream II corps members currently undergoing Orientation Course at the NYSC Lagos Orientation Camp in Iyana-Ipaja.
Mrs Ejiaka, stating the importance of ICT to the operations of the scheme, said corps members must be familiar with it especially as it relates with their day to day activities throughout the service year.
Speaking on corps member’s registration process, as well as clearance and others, she said it is important to stay close to their dashboards, as it is an easy platform for self-service, where corps members can attend to issues on their own without the aid of any NYSC official.

According to her, the essence of ICT as incorporated into the operations of the scheme in 2011 is to transform the operations of the scheme from what it used to be modern-driven access technology.
In her lecture, listing the functions of the ICT as a branch in the State Secretariat, she said the branch processes and reposts corps members rejected from their PPAs, processing of remobilization of absconded corps members, retrieving information of corps members from the database, assist with physical verification among many others.
Speaking on the uses of the dashboard, she said through it, date for monthly biometric can be known to corps members, printing of PPA letter can be done, application for relocation and printing of same can be done, and LGA clearance.
She said other self-service include Remobilization and Revalidation, correction of course of study, correction of class of degree etc.
