The Chief Adviser to the Governor of Delta State, Senator Ighoyota Amori, has applauded the Integrity Group of Delta State for organizing the 1 million Man March and Symposium in celebration of the second year in office of the Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
The event, held on Wednesday at the Cenotaph Centre in Asaba, attracted top government functionaries, political leaders, and loyal supporters of the administration. Among those in attendance were the Deputy Governor of Delta State, represented by the Deputy Chief of Staff, Sir Christopher Osakwe; the Senior Political Adviser to the Governor, Hon. Solomon Funkekeme; the immediate past Head of Service, Mr. Reginald Bayoko; and several other dignitaries.
In his goodwill message, Senator Amori expressed deep appreciation to the Integrity Group for their continued support of the governor and for marking the anniversary with such a strong show of solidarity.
“I want to sincerely appreciate the Integrity Group for this wonderful initiative. Celebrating the second year of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, in this grand manner, is commendable,” Amori stated.
He congratulated the group for aligning with the Governor’s MORE Agenda and the Renewed Hope vision, which is aimed at improving governance and delivering development to all parts of Delta State.
“The projects executed and ongoing across the state are too evident to be ignored; loud for the deaf to hear and clear for the blind to see,” Amori remarked.
“This administration has proven its commitment to infrastructure, human capital development, and inclusive governance.”
Senator Amori reassured the Integrity Group that the governor is solidly behind their activities and encouraged them to sustain their support for the Oborevwori-led administration as it works to consolidate on the achievements of the past two years.
“We are in a season of strategic realignment with the federal government, and this will open new frontiers for development in Delta State. I urge all Deltans to continue supporting the governor, as better days are ahead,” he added.
Earlier in his remarks, the Convener of the Integrity Group, Dr. Oke Idawene, thanked Senator Amori for his presence and unwavering support. He reaffirmed the group’s loyalty to the governor and assured that the Integrity Group is firmly committed to Oborevwori’s re-election in 2027.
The 1 million Man March and Symposium served as a platform to highlight the progress of the current administration and reaffirm the support of grassroots structures and political stakeholders in Delta State.
