The Honourable Commissioner for Housing, Rt Hon Godknows Angele inspects projects ahead of commissioning, says; good housing ensures stability and brings dignity as it is a absolute necessity and a critical infrastructure for the development of any giving state like DeltaState.
In Delta State Housing Infrastructure has been recorded as one of the cardinal factor responsible for upscaled development in the state. It provides the services that enable delta societies to function and economies to thrive. Infrastructural development that is tied socio-economic growth is the backbone of Delta state economy.
According to Hon Angele, well functioning infrastructure in the area of housing project is important for the well-being of the society. It ensures people have reliable environment and access to quality living.
As part of Governor Sherrif’s directives on close project monitoring, the Honorable commissioner; accompanied by team of directors, and contractors went on inspection tour to the ongoing building construction and furniture’s of Delta State High Court Headquarters Asaba, to certify the level of readiness before commissioning by His Excellency, Rt Hon ( Elder) sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State
Hon Angele advised, contractor to work closely with ministry of housing in order to sustain the quality of works as directed by Governor sheriff and in line with the standard of the ministry specification and timely completion of the project.
While rounding up the inspection tour, the commissioner and his team further went round the facility to examining the quality of furniture’s been supplied and pleaded with the contractor to make ready on site those item that are yet to be supplied, that the led Government of Governor sheriff is determined to deliver the dividends of democracy through effective use of tax payers money, which ensures projects must meet with GLOBAL STANDARD and as such only contractors that have proven capacity and diligent in there jobs will be availed with the opportunity of securing contracts with Delta state government .
