The Executive Director of Projects, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Dr Ebenezer Okorodudu has commended the Ambrose Alli University Alumni Association, Warri Chapter, for their unwavering support to the Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori over the years.
Dr Okorodudu gave the commendation, Tuesday, when executives from Ambrose Alli University Association, Warri Chapter led by the chairman, Mr. John Bello presented an award to him at the commission’s headquarters in Warri.
He expressed gratitude to the association for the award and the support extended to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori both before and after the election. He stated that the Governor holds the association due to their significant contribution to his educational growth.
The EDP described the Governor as an intelligent, meticulous leader who strongly believes in human capital development. He is the only Speaker of the State House of Assembly who left over 300million naira in the account.
He commended the University’s role in producing graduates who have contributed significantly to the development of Nigeria.
“Ambrose Alli University is the first state University established in Nigeria that paved way for establishment of Private Universities”
He stated that the Association should count on his support in improving the standard of the university. He urged the alumni to continue to collaborate and support Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration, noting that their request would be looked into in due time.
Earlier the Chairman of Ambrose Alli University Warri Chapter, Mr. John Bello congratulated Chief Okorodudu on his appointment as the Executive Director, Projects, saying, “your appointment didn’t come as a surprise because we know you are hardworking.
“You have distinguished yourself in various positionsyou have been appointed. I know you will do well as the executive director of projects of DESOPADEC.
He appealed to Chief Okorodudu to use his position to empower members of the Alumni so they can be useful to the society.
Highlight of the visit was a presentation of an award of Excellence to the Executive Director of Project by the Alumni Association.
