In a bid to tackle the rising unemployment rate in Nigeria and empower the people, Forsman & Bodenfors (F&B), a globally renowned advertising agency, has launched an enlightenment campaign in Sapele, Delta State.
The event, which was held at the Wetland Event Center, Sapele on Friday, February 7, 2025, attracted hundreds of youths, women, and stakeholders eager to learn about the opportunities offered by the company.
Founded in Sweden in 1986, Forsman & Bodenfors has established itself as a leading advertising agency with over six offices across Europe. The company is now expanding its operations into Africa, with Nigeria as its first point of entry. Speaking at the event, Mr. Marcus Williams, Director of F&B in Sapele, highlighted the company’s mission to reduce unemployment and empower Nigerians through its innovative business model.
“We are here as part of our corporate social responsibility to help reduce unemployment and empower the youth. Our platform allows anyone with a smartphone and internet connection to work for us. We create adverts, place them on our platform, and employ people to watch these adverts. In return, we pay them salaries. This is a unique approach that eliminates the need for traditional marketing methods,” Williams explained.
The company’s initiative is particularly timely, given the global economic challenges and the high rate of unemployment in Nigeria. Williams emphasized that poverty and unemployment are closely linked to crime, and by providing sustainable income opportunities, F&B aims to reduce crime rates in the country. “When people have jobs and can meet their basic needs, they are less likely to engage in criminal activities. This is our way of contributing to a safer and more prosperous society,” he added.
Another director at Forsman & Bodenfors, who also spoke at the event, reiterated the company’s commitment to treating its employees with dignity and respect. “F&B is not just a company; it is a platform for people to achieve their dreams. We provide our employees with the support they need to reach their highest potential. When you work with us, you earn a salary that can transform your life,” the director stated.
The event also served as a job fair, where attendees were educated on how to become employees of F&B. The recruitment process is straightforward and free of charge. Prospective employees undergo a four-day internship, during which they are paid by the company. After the internship, they can choose from three categories of positions: Junior Position A2, Junior Position A3, and Intermediate Position B1. Each position offers daily earnings ranging from ₦870 to ₦10,600, with refundable deposits required for higher positions.
In addition to daily earnings, employees stand to benefit from bonuses and incentives for referring others to join the company. “There are five different ways to earn money when you work with F&B. This is an opportunity for everyone, whether you are a graduate, a business owner, or someone looking for an additional source of income,” the director explained.
The campaign has been widely praised by attendees, who see it as a lifeline in a challenging economic environment. Many expressed optimism that the initiative would not only reduce unemployment but also empower women and youths to contribute meaningfully to society.
The event concluded with a call to action for Nigerians to take advantage of the opportunities offered by F&B. With its promise of decent wages, respect for employees, and a commitment to social responsibility, Forsman & Bodenfors is set to become a household name in Nigeria and beyond.
