The Delta State Civil Service Commission has commenced the final stage of its promotion exercise for officers on Salary Grade Levels 05 to 10, with oral interviews that took place at the Commission’s headquarters in Asaba.
The interview session marks the concluding phase of a rigorous, multi-stage promotion process involving eligible officers drawn from various ministries and departments across the state. The exercise is aimed at assessing candidates’ professional competence, experience, and preparedness to assume higher responsibilities within the civil service.
Addressing the candidates, the Chairman of the Commission, Noble Roseline Amioku, emphasized the importance of the oral interview in determining overall performance. She encouraged participants to approach the process with confidence, professionalism, and a strong sense of purpose.
“The Commission remains committed to a transparent and merit-driven promotion system that rewards diligence, integrity, and dedication to duty,” Amioku stated. She further urged officers to demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and capacity effectively during the interviews.
Her remarks underscore the Commission’s broader commitment to fairness and accountability in managing career progression within the state’s public service.
According to the Chairman, the promotion exercise is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the efficiency and effectiveness of the Delta State civil service by elevating qualified personnel to positions where they can contribute more significantly to governance and public service delivery and equally ask that they work for recognition.
With the completion of the oral interviews, the Commission is expected to finalize its assessments and announce the results in due course.
