Delta State Commissioner for Science and Technology, Dr. Daniel Odinigwe, has disclosed that several investors who visited the Ministry’s exhibition booth during the ongoing Delta State Economic and Investment Summit 2026 have expressed readiness to partner with the ministry in advancing science, technology and innovation-driven development in the state.
Dr. Odinigwe expressed delight after Vice President Kashim Shettima visited the Ministry of Science and Technology’s exhibition stand at the summit, where he was presented with the ministry’s investment opportunities, digital initiatives and ongoing technology-driven projects.
The commissioner was delighted as the Vice President commended the ministry’s presentation and innovative vision, describing it as one of the initiatives capable of driving economic growth and positioning Delta State as a leading hub for technology and innovation.
He noted that the commendation from the Vice President further strengthened investor confidence, leading to increased interest from both local and international participants at the summit.
“Several investors who visited our stand have indicated their willingness to collaborate with the Ministry of Science and Technology. The level of interest shown demonstrates that our vision for digital transformation and technology-driven economic development is attracting attention,” Odinigwe said.
The commissioner explained that discussions with prospective investors focused on opportunities in digital infrastructure, innovation hubs, ICT development, the up–coming Delta Tech Xperience, smart governance and technology-enabled services aimed at creating jobs and stimulating economic growth.
