Wife of the Governor and Founder, You Matter Charity Foundation, has harped the importance of women playing their role as peace makers between the family and the society.
She stated this, when she received on a courtesy visit, the Isoko women in politics, at the first lady’s office, government house, Asaba.
Dcns Oborevwori emphasized the need for mothers to embrace a peaceful environment. She urged the women to preach peace and love in their homes and communities.
She admonished the women to hold on tightly to God and ensure that they bring up their children in the fear of God in order to create a peaceful environment.
The First Lady expressed joy and excitement, having her own women supporting the more Agenda and also identifying with the You Matter Charity Foundation.
The leader of the group Hon Orezi Esievo, in her address, expressed their gratitude and admiration for her unwavering commitment to the progress of Delta State and the empowerment of its people, especially women and vulnerable children. She stated that the group is proud to associate with her vision for a better Delta.
Esievo extended her heart–felt appreciation to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his remarkable achievements since he assumed office. She stated that the administration has brought hope, development, transformation to Delta State which they are proud to be beneficiaries of his visionary leadership.
The coordinator stated that the group would align with the MORE agenda, particularly areas focusing on women empowerment, education and community development. She said the group will continue to mobilise their communities to support the governor’s vision and the You Matter Charity Foundation.
Also, the vice Chairperson of Isoko south local government area and the vice coordinator of the group, moved a vote of confidence in Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
Highlight of the event was the presentation of the unity wrapper from Her Excellency, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori to the leader of the delegation from the First Lady of Nigeria.
