The 90 Amphibious Battalion of the Nigerian Army in Koko, through its Commanding Officer, Lt. Col. Mustapha Garba has pledged its collaboration with the Warri North Local Government Council chairman, Hon. Festus Ashima and other relevant authorities in eradicating the menace of drug abuse in the area.
Lt. Col. Garba made the pledge when executives of the Boys’ Brigade Nigeria, Sapele Group Council, led by its chairman, Comrade Captain Toju Afiogho paid him a courtesy visit at the 90 Amphibious Battalion barracks in Koko to discuss collaborative efforts towards eradicating the menace of drug abuse from the society.
Lamenting the effects of drug abuse in the society, the 90 Amphibious Battalion helmsman appreciated the initiative of the Boys’ Brigade and assured them of his full commitment to the fight against drug abuse.
Comrade Afiongo who had earlier expressed concerns about drug abuse in the society, commended Lt. Col. Garba for his efforts to combat drug abuse in their environment.
Highlight of the visit was the presentation of a plaque of honour to Lt. Col. Garba by the chairman of the Boys’ Brigade, Sapele Group Council, Comrade Toju Afiogho.
