The Chief Adviser to the Governor of Delta State, Senator Ighoyota Amori, has called on Deltans to remain patient and supportive of the M.O.R.E Agenda of the current administration, assuring that its developmental blueprint encompasses all 25 Local Government Areas of the state.
Senator Amori made the appeal when he received the leadership of the Light House Team on a courtesy visit to his office in Asaba last week.
He emphasized that the administration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is committed to inclusive governance, ensuring that every part of the state benefits from the ongoing infrastructural and developmental drive.
“The governor is a governor for all Deltans. The M.O.R.E Agenda is not sectional; it captures the needs and aspirations of the people across all 25 Local Government Areas, including Udu,” Amori stated. “I urge our people to remain patient because the governor is deliberate in his approach to development; every part of Delta will feel the impact.”
Earlier, the Chairman of the group, Chief Samson Eduba, expressed appreciation to the Chief Adviser for granting them audience at short notice, describing it as a demonstration of the administration’s openness and commitment to the people.
“We are truly impressed by the accessibility of the Chief Adviser, which shows that the people are indeed a top priority in this administration,” Eduba said. He further commended Governor Oborevwori for creating an office that effectively bridges the gap between government, stakeholders, and the citizens.
During the visit, Chief Eduba, supported by Chief Jehwe Oyibo and other members of the group, declared their unanimous adoption of Governor Oborevwori as their sole candidate for the 2027 governorship election.
In the same vein, the Women Leader of the group, Mrs. Palmer Angela, and Hon. Peter Akpovego commended the achievements of the current administration and pledged their continued support for the governor’s second-term.
Senator Amori thanked the delegation for their visit and reaffirmed the governor’s commitment to good governance, peace, and equitable development across Delta State.
The delegation was led by the former Udu Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Raymond Edijala.
