A grassroots mobilizer of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, Christabel Nkanka, has called on residents to support the party and its candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Nkanka, who identified herself as the Woman Director of Positive Voice, Ika South, and Woman Leader of Agugu Anioma for Okowa in Ika South, made the call while speaking with reporters during an interview in Agbor.
She appreciated the APC leadership and stakeholders in Ika South for their efforts toward strengthening the party, particularly the local government chairman, Hon.Jerry Ehiwarior and the party leaders, whom she commended for their contributions to the party’s growth.
According to her, the APC remains the party to beat in the forthcoming elections, urging residents to join what she described as the “winning party” and work collectively toward achieving the party’s electoral objectives.
Nkanka called on APC supporters to mobilizemassively for the party’s candidates in 2027, stressing that the party was targeting a “five-over-five” victory across its candidates.
She also appealed to residents to support the party’s presidential candidate, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC candidate for the Delta State governorship election, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori whom she described as having made significant contributions to the development and welfare of the people.
The APC grassroots mobilizer further solicited support for the party’s senatorial candidate for Delta North, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, describing him as a leader who, she said, has positively impacted youths and women through his leadership and empowerment initiatives.
She said the time had come for youths to take an active role in governance, urging young people in Ika South, Ika North-East and other parts of Delta North to unite behind candidates they believed would represent their interests.
Nkanka equally called for support for the party’s House of Representatives Candidate for Ika Federal Constituency, Mr Emmanuel Osazuwa, whom she described as humble, youthful and committed to the people, as well as the House of Assembly Candidate of the party in Ika South Constituency, Hon. Cordilia Anyangwu, whom she referred to as a mother and sister who had contributed to the empowerment of her constituents.
She also urged voters to support the APC candidates contesting for the Delta State House of Assembly, Ika North East Constituency 1, Hon. Marilyn Okowa Daramola and her Constituency 11, counterpart, Hon. Jackson Ngwokor, as she stressed the need for party members to remain united and committed to the APC’s electoral agenda.
She concluded by urging APC supporters to work together to ensure the party achieves its projected electoral victory in 2027.
“It is time for the youths to rule the world,” Nkanka said, calling on supporters to come out en-masse and support the party’s candidates.
