He is the son of eight-time Grammy Award winner, Stephen Marley.

In a previous interview, Joseph Marley noted that he is “one of the Marleys” but he is still experimenting with his own sound in the music world.
Jo Mersa said, “I am one of the new generations of Marleys, but I am still experimenting at the same time.
My plan is to do something new with my roots.”
Joseph Marley was born on the 12th of March 1991. The artist’s place of birth is Kingston, Jamaica.
Jo first came to prominence in 2016 with his single titled “Burn It Down with his brother Yohan”.
In 2020, Joseph released a track titled Nothing’s Gonna Harm You. It was dedicated to his daughter.
He added that the track was a reminder to his daughter that he will always protect her. As it is his responsibility as a father.
The singer released his first EP titled Comfortable in 2014 and later released his debut album titled Eternal in 2021.
Jo is survived by his wife and daughter.
